Day 1: Hanoi - NinhBinh (L, D)
Depart for HoaLu (Ninh Binh), enjoying the rural scenery along the road. Visit HoaLu old citadel. In the afternoon, take a rowing boat along the tiny canal among the rice fields to visit Tam Coc (Three Grottoes). 16h00. Tour ends. Overnight at Thuy Anh hotel.
Day 2: Ninh Binh - Cuc Phuong – MaiChau (B, L, D)
Transfer to Cuc Phuong national park, riding on a very nice road and passing through spectaculars on routes. Arrival in Cuc Phuong national park, then we visit to the Primate Rescue Centre, which is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, breeding, research and conservation of the endangered primates of Vietnam.
From here we drive further to the centre of the national park where we start our real jungle trek through the national park. A national park ranger will be our on-site guide who makes sure that we do not get lost and he will tell us about the flora and fauna of the park. Picnic lunch in the shade of a giant tree. After 6-hr trek with lots of descents and ascents on jungle trails we make the last climb downhill to a peaceful valley and reach the village of Khanh, home to Muong ethnic minority. We will have dinner and spend our night with a family in their traditional house-on-stilt.
Day 3: Cuc Phuong – Hoa Binh - Mai Chau - Pu Luong(B,L,D)
Transfer to Mai Chau, riding on a very nice road and passing through spectaculars on routes. Arrival in Poom Coong village at about 11.30am, welcome drink with vietnamese green tea then take a short walk around the village to visit Thai people, then lunch will be served here on traditional house-on-stilt. By 2:00 pm, leaving here for our short ride (15 min) to Ma river.
Boating is our next adventure. We are rafting on the boat for about 30 min, and then we start our walk for 2 hours through beautiful villages, hill sides, magnificent rice paddies, water wheels… And one of the highlight on this walk is to experience the everyday life and culture White Thai people and stay in their traditional house on stilts as honored guests. Again boat ferries across the river, we hit the road to Sai village (also the Thai) where we will be having dinner and stay at their traditional house on stilts.
Day 4: Pu Luong - Mai Chau - Hanoi (B,L)
The daily life of the locals here starts early, it will be interesting for you to get up and take part in their activities to experience their lovely colorful life (this is sure with fun!). Breakfast at their house, then at 8 am start our trek inside the Nature Reserve of Pu Luong to visit Duom untouched village.
After 3 hours walk, driver will pick us up and transfer to Poom Coong hill tribe for lunch. We should leave Mai Chau at 2.30 pm and return Hanoi by 6 p.m. Finish our journey at your hotel. Thanks for joining us and hopefully to serve you next time. |
