Leave early at 07:30 am, head south to Cai Be. On arrival at 10.00 , boarding a boat for a journey through the town’s floating market. See how river life goes on, trading between merchant ships and local farmers. We walk through the village streets and watch locals making manioc chips. Cruise through the secluded canals where we stop at an ancient house of the area to enjoy seasonal fruits / lunch before our boat takes us to the Mighty Mekong (~ 1km wide), cruise to other island for walking, visiting fruit orchards. Cruise through natural waterways to CaiBe where our bus pick up for return. Back in Saigon around 18.00.[more]

This new tour combines cycling and kayaking in Mekong delta, so you can explore some islands where locals have never seen any tourists. Depending on the river tide, our guide will arrange the kayak route. Therefore, we can not have a fixed program (see below a draft itinerary). The water color is light brown, as it originates high in Tibet, flowing 4500km through China, Myanmar - Laos - Thai border and through Cambodia and Vietnam, passing many volcanic red soil plateaus. Departing Saigon at 07:30 head south to MyTho. On arrival at 09:30, boarding our "Southen Peace" boat for a journey to island in BenTre. We stop for a walk, visit to a farmer house, see how life goes on here, enjoy seasonal fruits. Take a sampan paddling cruise on small waterways.., back to our boat. Then we cruise on this mighty mekong river up stream to CaiBe (40km, see the blue dot on map below), lunch & relax on board.
Late afternoon arrive in CaiBe floating market town. Disembark our boat, short walk along canal to our homestay. Time to explore the village or learn to prepare a traditional meal with our chef. O/N homestay .[more]

Drive to CaiBe, boat trip visit floating market and cruise over mighty Mekong river to island, promenade around fruit orchards, boat to VinhLong. Coach trip to LongXuyen, explore the village making incense stick before heading onto ChauDoc for the first night.[more]
